    Web development consultant and Managing Editor, International Peace and Security. Built ipeaceandsecurity.org and its sister sites for the Watson Institute; run the publication’s editorial pipeline.

    Master of Public Affairs, Watson Institute, Brown University. On the Watson Military Service Scholarship.

    Policy in Action Award for Boston Foot Traffic. The City of Boston adopted the team’s siting recommendations; a pilot site is slated for the FY27 push cart pilot program.

  5. 2025

    B.A. in Slavic Studies, Brown University. GPA 3.8; inducted into the Dobro Slovo National Slavic Honors Society. Straight into the MPA that fall.

  6. 2024

    A semester in Kazakhstan. Study abroad at Nazarbayev University in Astana on the Cason Scholarship, bookended by Middlebury’s Russian summer immersion in 2023 and 2024.

  7. 2021

    Sergeant, honorable discharge. Then Providence. Left the Marine Corps in June; started Slavic Studies at Brown in September.

  8. 2020

    Maintenance Chief, 31st MEU deployment. Led a 60-Marine team keeping a $200M+ portfolio of mission-critical assets above 80% readiness across Guam and Exercise Cobra Gold in Thailand. Also that year: the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, for 500+ hours of animal-shelter work and scuba-diving ocean cleanups.

  9. 2019

    Two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. For restoring III MEF satellite communication assets that unblocked a canceled deployment, and for building a secure communications facility for the 31st MEU Combat Operations Center.

  10. 2018

    Black belt, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Then taught it, as a martial arts instructor for 35 Marines.

  11. 2016

    Enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Digital Wideband Systems Maintainer: five years of satellite and radio communications across Japan, Korea, Thailand, and the South China Sea.

  • Rebuilt digital-peacebuilding.com for Brown’s Digital Peacebuilding course with site-wide search and a full ADA accessibility overhaul; own design, hosting, deployment, and performance end to end.
United States Marine Corps 2016 to 2021

Sergeant, Digital Wideband Systems Maintainer

  • Engineered new troubleshooting protocols for satellite and radio communication systems, cutting systemic failures by 60% and raising operational uptime by 20%.
  • Reduced annual maintenance costs by $500,000 by identifying underutilized assets and pioneering 3-D printing for rapid, low-cost component fabrication.
  • As Maintenance Chief for a 31st MEU deployment, led a 60-Marine team keeping a $200M+ portfolio of mission-critical assets above 80% operational readiness across multinational exercises.
